Incandescent Wand

An Enchanter quest from Sultin in the Temple of Solusek Ro. Recover a Pouch of Silver Dust from Unrest, take a Silver Wand from Cazic Thule, have that wand enchanted first by Ezmirella in North Karana and then by Raine Beteria in Erudin, and return the finished Glowing Silver Wand with the dust for Incandescent Wand.

The Unburied Scholar's Appraisal

A wand that procs Color Shift and requires you to drag the same piece of silver through half of Antonica while various scholars improve it in stages. Its real appeal is as a coveted Proc Exaltation: Color Shift is an area stun, and an Enchanter pet can wield the wand to help keep a pack locked down while the proc fires. Irritating, yes. Worthless, no. The final wand has enough bite to justify the pilgrimage.

1. Speak with Sultin

  1. Travel to Temple of Solusek Ro and find Sultin, around 385, 77.
  2. Hail him and ask about the incandescent items, then the wand, if you want the dialogue path. The practical quest requires a Pouch of Silver Dust and a fully enchanted Glowing Silver Wand.
Sultin wants two final objects. One is dust. The other must first visit two different people in two different regions because apparently a single competent enchanter was too much to ask.

2. Obtain the Pouch of Silver Dust

  1. Travel to Estate of Unrest and work your way into the basement.
  2. Find a dusty werebat at the far eastern end of the basement, around 636, -114 on the current EQL zone listing. It is level 24-28.
  3. Kill it and loot the Pouch of Silver Dust. Keep the pouch until the final Sultin turn-in.
The current EQL zone reference notes that you need the Unrest keys to reach this basement area. The normal key route is Reanimated Hand → Reclusive Ghoul Magus → Undead Barkeep → Undead Knight of Unrest. Alternatively, run to the rooftop and levitate over to the Undead Knight of Unrest's balcony to skip the first three key mobs. Acquire the access before discovering, several locked doors too late, that enthusiasm is not a key.

3. Obtain the Silver Wand

  1. Travel to Cazic Thule and hunt a silvered guard near the northwest/AOF pyramid area.
  2. Current EQL zone data lists the guards at levels 25-27 and says they carry the Silver Wand roughly 20% of the time.
  3. Loot the Silver Wand. Do not return to Sultin yet; the wand is unfinished.

4. Have Ezmirella bless the wand

  1. Travel to the gypsy camp in North Karana and find Ezmirella.
  2. Give Ezmirella the Silver Wand.
  3. On current EQL, no coin tip is required. She returns a Blessed Silver Wand and directs you to Raine Beteria.
Older instructions insist upon fifty gold here. Current EQL does not. Keep your coins. The dead have many advantages; one is remembering which fees have finally ceased being necessary.

5. Finish the enchantment with Raine Beteria

  1. Travel to Erudin and find Raine Beteria in the city library.
  2. Give Raine the Blessed Silver Wand.
  3. Current EQL documentation again says no coin tip is required. Raine returns the Glowing Silver Wand.

6. Return to Sultin

  1. Return to Sultin in Temple of Solusek Ro with the Glowing Silver Wand and Pouch of Silver Dust.
  2. Hand both items to Sultin.
  3. Receive Incandescent Wand. Current EQL documentation records +5 Temple of Sol Ro faction and -1 Shadowed Men faction from the completion.
At last, the Incandescent Wand. Its Color Shift proc is a coveted Proc Exaltation because it can stun nearby enemies; an Enchanter pet can wield the wand and help keep the whole pack locked down. Unlike the silver stick you began with, this one is actually worth remembering. Do try not to misplace it after carrying its ancestor across Antonica.

Tips from the Crypt

  • Collect the Pouch of Silver Dust and Silver Wand before beginning the two-city enchantment trip; it keeps the travel sequence tidy.
  • The current EQL version differs from older classic-era guides on the coin payments to Ezmirella and Raine Beteria. EQL's September 2, 2026 revision says the tips are no longer required.
  • The final reward is an Enchanter primary weapon with AC 3, DEX +2, SV MAGIC +5, and a level-20 Color Shift combat proc according to current EQL item data.
  • Do not confuse the broader 'Incandescent Armor Quests' family with a prerequisite chain. The wand, gloves, and mask are separate Sultin rewards; this page documents only the wand path.
