1. Speak with the spirit in Stonebrunt
- Travel to Stonebrunt Mountains and find `a spirit` just south of Kejekan Village in the small grassy patch with two trees, around 470, -39.
- Hail the spirit and follow the dialogue through `form` and `I will help you get revenge` if you want the full quest context.
- The spirit wants its lost weapon restored before it can take corporeal form.
The petitioner is already dead, furious, and asking you to retrieve a weapon of hidden power. At least no one is pretending this errand will end peacefully.
2. Recover the Grimy Lance
- Travel to Temple of Cazic-Thule.
- Find a lizard ritualist that spawns on the small pyramid in the maze.
- Kill the ritualist and loot the Grimy Lance.
You need the Grimy Lance specifically. A ruined spear-shaped object found elsewhere will not satisfy an angry ghost, however persuasive its resemblance.
3. Restore Ridossan
- Return to the spirit at about 470, -39 in Stonebrunt Mountains.
- Give the Grimy Lance to the spirit.
- The spirit transforms into Ridossan the Unliving and gives you an Idol of Fear. Keep it.
- Ridossan immediately runs north toward the Kejekan village. Follow him.
4. Kill Disciple Okarote
- Follow Ridossan into the Kejekan village until he reaches Disciple Okarote.
- Once Ridossan is in position, kill Disciple Okarote. Current EQL documentation uses Okarote's death as the progression point that produces the Ghost of Ridossan.
- Expect negative Kejek Village and Peace Keepers faction from killing Okarote.
Ridossan has spent his brief return to the flesh arranging one murder. Help him finish it. The dead can be remarkably focused when spared the distractions of ordinary life.
5. Make the final Idol turn-in immediately
- After Disciple Okarote dies, locate the newly spawned Ghost of Ridossan.
- The ghost lasts roughly one minute, so do not wander off to admire the scenery or sort your bags.
- Give the Idol of Fear to the Ghost of Ridossan.
- Receive Soulfiend Lance. Current EQL lists it as 20 damage / 41 delay, +5 AC, +3 INT, with Leech proccing at level 25.
At last, the
Soulfiend Lance. A respectable weapon carrying a life-draining proc, handed over by a ghost whose final word is considerably less polite than 'thank you.' Keep it. Old spite has its uses.
