1. Collect the two real quest drops
- Kill Emperor Crush in Crushbone and loot the Dwarven Ringmail Tunic.
- Kill the orc warlord and loot Bracers of Battle.
- You can collect both before speaking to either prisoner.
This is the efficient path. There are old preliminaries involving an earring and a shield, but current EQL documentation confirms you may spare yourself the ceremony.
2. Trade the tunic for the Dwarven Mace
- Find a dwarven smith inside the slaver cabin around 60, 746.
- Ask `What about ringmail?` if you want the direct dialogue prompt.
- Give the Dwarven Ringmail Tunic to the smith.
- Receive the Dwarven Mace.
3. Obtain the Prayer Cloth of Tunare
- Find an elven priest in the last stall on the left of the slaver cabin, around 84, 744.
- Say `The king is dead`.
- Give the priest Bracers of Battle from the orc warlord.
- Receive the Prayer Cloth of Tunare.
The phrase is useful because it advances directly to the proof-of-the-warlord step. Do not hand over the bracers first and then wonder whether ancient quest scripts appreciate improvisation.
4. Finish the Screaming Mace
- Give the Dwarven Mace and Prayer Cloth of Tunare to the elven priest.
- Receive Screaming Mace. The current EQL item listing gives it an instant combat proc available at level 10.
At last, the Screaming Mace. Eight damage, thirty-five delay, and a proc concealed inside a weapon assembled by two prisoners. Crude circumstances do not preclude useful craftsmanship.
Optional: the old preliminary dialogue
- If you want to experience the full dialogue chain, an orc taskmaster's Brass Earring can be given to the dwarven smith for an Unfinished Blade Mold.
- You can then give the smith a Shiny Brass Shield from the orc trainer for an Unfinished Sledge Mold.
- These preliminary exchanges are not required for the core Dwarven Ringmail Tunic -> Dwarven Mace -> Prayer Cloth -> Screaming Mace completion path on current EQL.
