Yuio's Illness

Help Jali Kaliio cure Yuio by gathering a very specific collection of claws, skins, poison sacs, and Stonebrunt plants for Khonza Ayssla. Combine the ingredients in Khonza's satchel, return the finished medicine to Jali, and receive the Wakizashi of the Frozen Skies.

A proper cure assembled from eight ingredients scattered across several ecosystems. The medicine works, at least, and the reward carries a notably vicious Spirit Strike proc. I have endured less elaborate rituals for raising the dead.

1. Speak with Jali Kaliio

  1. Find Jali Kaliio in Stonebrunt Mountains. Hail him and follow the dialogue about your `peaceful intentions`.
  2. Offer to help Yuio. Jali sends you to Khonza Ayssla and specifically tells you to say `Jali sent me`.
The exact message matters. Tell Khonza `Jali sent me`. Mortal medicine apparently begins with a referral.

2. Get Khonza's gathering satchel

  1. Find Khonza Ayssla in Stonebrunt and say `Jali sent me`.
  2. When she asks whether you can fetch the ingredients, answer `I will fetch them for you`.
  3. Khonza gives you the satchel used for the quest combine. Keep it.

3. Gather the eight ingredients

  1. Collect 2 Panda Claws from pandas in Stonebrunt Mountains.
  2. Collect 2 Tiger Skins. Current EQL guidance notes Kejek tigers and also the wild tigers on southern Kerra Island.
  3. Collect 2 Asp Poison Sacs from asps or cistern asps. Oasis of Marr and South Ro are common places to hunt them.
  4. Forage 1 Kejekan Palm Fruit in Stonebrunt.
  5. Obtain 1 Bamboo Shoot in Stonebrunt. It can be foraged and can also drop from pandas.
Two claws, two skins, two poison sacs, one fruit, one shoot. Count them before combining. `I was fairly certain I had everything` is not a recognized alchemical reagent.

4. Make the Full Gathering Satchel

  1. Place all eight required ingredients into Khonza's quest satchel.
  2. Combine the container to create the Full Gathering Satchel.
  3. Return the Full Gathering Satchel to Khonza Ayssla. She gives you a Vial of Healing Liquid and current EQL documentation records +5 Kejek Village and +5 Peace Keepers faction at this step.

5. Cure Yuio

  1. Take the Vial of Healing Liquid back to Jali Kaliio.
  2. Give the vial to Jali.
  3. Receive Wakizashi of the Frozen Skies. Current EQL documentation records another +5 Kejek Village and +5 Peace Keepers faction on completion.
The cure succeeds, and Jali parts with the Wakizashi of the Frozen Skies. Now this is a respectable payment. The blade's Spirit Strike proc begins at level 35 on current EQL, where it becomes considerably more interesting.

Tips from the Crypt

  • Do the Stonebrunt forage work while hunting pandas so the Bamboo Shoot and Kejekan Palm Fruit do not become a separate trip.
  • If Tiger Skins are being stubborn in Stonebrunt, current EQL guidance points to the wild tigers on southern Kerra Island as another source.
  • Older EQ references are useful for confirming the original ingredient recipe, but the reward's proc level differs on current EQL. Use the current EQL item behavior.
