Four components for a tool that strengthens your air pets and can reclaim a summoned pet's energy instantly. Efficient, elemental, and almost suspiciously comprehensible. Broom of Trilon is the air focus, with INT +2 and AGI +3. A respectable little artifact.

1. Find Vira

Vira offers four related elemental-focus quests. They share the same quest giver and structure, but none requires completion of another.

  1. Travel to Temple of Solusek Ro and find Vira on the balcony to the left, around +410, +85.
  2. If you want the dialogue path, ask Vira about elemental summoning and then about the Broom of Trilon. The practical requirement is the four-item hand-in below.
Vira asks for four objects. Four. Not seventeen fragments, three contradictory testimonies, and a cousin who only spawns during rain. Cherish this moment.

2. Acquire the four components

  1. Obtain a Star Ruby. Current EQL references list jewelry merchants as the straightforward source.
  2. Obtain Griffon Feathers. Current EQL guidance points to griffins, with North Karana and East Commonlands among the convenient sources.
  3. Obtain A Broom. Confirm its lore/Identify text reads "Broom of Air". Current EQL references list Magicians in Najena and alligators in Cazic Thule; the EQL focus-item family guide also lists Lake Rathetear as a source for the base tools.
  4. Obtain Cyclops Toes. You can hunt the appropriate giant normally, or use Gornit in Ocean of Tears as a shared toe source if you are collecting all four focus sets.

3. Return all four items to Vira

  1. Return to Vira with Star Ruby, Griffon Feathers, A Broom, and Cyclops Toes.
  2. Hand the four required items to Vira.
  3. Receive Broom of Trilon. The turn-in improves Temple of Sol Ro faction and lowers Shadowed Men faction according to both current EQL and classic-era references.
At last, Broom of Trilon. The Minion of Air focus strengthens the matching elemental pet, while Reclaim Energy remains available as an instant click from inventory. Keep it. A Magician with all four is considerably less dependent on chance choosing a convenient element.

4. How the lesser focus items work on EQL

Broom of Trilon carries the Minion of Air focus. EQL's current Magician Focus Items documentation says the lesser focuses affect spell-level 4-49 pets, increasing their size and hit points. The same source describes the practical durability gain as roughly one step toward the next tougher elemental pet, or around 25% as a rule of thumb.

All four lesser focus items also carry an instant Reclaim Energy click. The focus itself requires the matching item to be equipped when summoning the pet; the Reclaim Energy click does not require the item to be equipped.

  • Vira is on the left-side balcony in Temple of Solusek Ro, around +410, +85.
  • The Star Ruby is the easy component: buy it from a jewelry vendor rather than manufacturing an unnecessary adventure around it.
  • If you intend to complete all four Magician focus quests, Gornit in Ocean of Tears is unusually efficient. Current EQL data lists Cyclops, Hill Giant, Ice Giant, and Fire Giant Toes on his loot table, and the focus-item guide notes that he can drop multiple toe items.
  • The four lesser focus items are siblings, not prerequisites. You may complete them in any order: Broom of Trilon Quest, Shovel of Ponz Quest, Stein of Ulissa Quest, and Torch of Alna Quest.
  • Current EQL sources list Griffon Feathers from griffins, with North Karana and East Commonlands called out in the family guide.
